The Casa GB project lands on the low height mountains in the city of Villa Carlos Paz, with views towards the town, the river and the high mountain range of the city. Due to the upward slope of the land, it offers fabulous views of the San Antonio river and the mountains without obstacles.
A series of important premises were asked to the study to start the design process, like for example, that the house is closed towards the front to generate as much privacy as possible, and the biggest opening is towards the back, so this generates a direct link with the landscape and its expansions.
The project is organized through a double height hall, which has the function of receiving, organizing and distributing the dwelling. This one was raised on two levels, the ground floor is where all the social activities are situated including a functional activity room, the double garage was situated in front of the house, so it is linked to the principal access and it can generate a visual closure even bigger in the front. The areas were the main activities are developed like living room, dining room and kitchen are directly linked to the barbeque area and gallery, which through stairs is related to the solarium and pool sector.
In the irregular prism that makes up the upper floor all the private areas were positioned, which were divided into two bedrooms and a generous suite with exquisite views.
Depending on the orientations, all the façades were worked paying special treatment and attention to the south façade, which in winter times rain and winds are typically of really low temperature whereby practically is a blind façade, which was drilled only for the essentials, in this particular case, is for a direct ventilation of a bathroom.
Materials such as concrete, local woods and glass plates were selected to dress the project.
